Walnut

Walnut wide plank flooring is slightly softer than comparable Oak floors while still being heavy and stiff with exceptional dimensional stability. Walnut is prized among wood workers for its deep tones and excellent durability. Throughout history walnut floors have created a feeling of quality and luxury. Walnut heartwood can be so dark toned as to have almost purple tinges while the sapwood features a lighter golden tan color. It has deep, rich chocolate tones that make a statement of quality and traditional beauty. Walnut flooring is available in select and character grade, live-sawn or 100% heart.

Hickory

Hickory provides a combination of strength and hardness that is rare to find in commercial wood. Hickory is known as the hardest, heaviest and strongest domestic (US) hardwood. Hickory plank floors have a fine, straight grain and a slight coarse texture. It's color ranges from cream to dark brown, often with long brown stripes against a cream background. It is strikingly beautiful and works well in contemporary as well as classic design. We offer both select and live sawn Hickory

Heart Pine

Heart Pine has a traditional character with a variety of brown tones and golden hues, the darkest and hardest part of the Pine is the heart. The Heart Pine planks are cut from only the center of the long leaf Pine giving this wide plank flooring the density and richness. Heart Pine wide plank flooring has an distinctive grain pattern and interesting knots. Due to the high resin content longleaf heart pine has a great resistance to water. As time passes the heart wood deepens to a deep amber color. Available in select and common grades, plain sawn or rift.

White Oak

White Oak flooring ranges in color from golden to brown with gray undertones and featuring open grain long rays with occasional cathedrals, swirls and burls. White Oak hardwood flooring features generally moderate linear grain with moderate color variations and has exceptional stability. White Oak’s relatively fast maturity and superior adaptability make it a highly sustainable resource and an environmentally sound from approved sources. And because of the harder grain in White Oak planks the flooring takes stain colors very evenly.

Rift White Oak

Rift sawn lumber is typically narrow with a very straight grain pattern on the face of the board. Rift sawn White Oak has none of the flecks that are common in the species. Like quarter sawn lumber, rift sawn lumber is also referred to as radial grain, these are the most stable boards. Riftsawn White Oak has a tight, straight grain pattern with low figuring

Rift and Quartered White Oak

Rift and Quartered White Oak blends both rift and quarter sawn boards, riftsawn has a tight, straight grain pattern with low figuring; quartersawn has a flake pattern, also called tiger rays or butterflies. This results in a floor that has superior dimensional stability and a distinctive, unique appearance.
