M. Teixeira Soapstone

We are so excited to announce that Jewett Farms & Co. has become the exclusive distributor of M. Teixeira Soapstone for the Boston and Eastern Massachusetts area.  You may ask, Soapstone?  But Jewett Farms & Co is a design and cabinetmaking firm.

Soapstone is a natural fit with Jewett Farms & Co.  Soapstone is an amazing product that, like the cabinetry and furniture we design and build, has no built in obsolescence and is a product that we can fabricate within our cabinetshop on the tools we use every day.  Working with soapstone is really like working with a really hard wood (just a bit heavier).   It is a durable material that will last for generations to come.  It also has some amazing properties – impervious to heat, will not stain, completely food safe, non-porous, to name only a few (click on the links at the bottom of this page to get more detailed information).

The next question you might ask is, why M. Teixeira Soapstone?  Well, the reason is really simple – there is no one that knows more about Soapstone then Roger Teixeira.  Simply put, M. Teixeira has the best Soapstone there is.  And like any other quality product, the material itself is the building block.  So, in our quest to always be the best we can be, we have partnered with the best Soapstoner there is.

So, if you are contemplating Soapstone for your home, please give us a call or stop by our Showroom in Newburyport, MA.  Like the cabinetry and furniture we create, we are passionate about Soapstone and love to talk about it.
