We like to think that our Newburyport Studio is more than just another kitchen showroom. We want our working kitchen to be humming, with good smells wafting out the door and people and chatting and laughing  inside. We chose Newburyport for this space because of its history, active downtown and vibrant community. Every year Newburyport grows and thrives and JF+Co grows along with it.

The past few weeks have been all about Newburyport for JF+Co. Our Summer Cooking Series started last Thursday and was featured in the Newburyport Daily News .  The First cooking session was a great success – the 90+ Cellars wine from New England Wine and Spirits was enjoyed by all and the beautiful chicken risotto, with fresh  ingredients from Tendercrop Farm was completely delicious! All the participants went home full, happy and with the skills (and recipe) to recreate this dish at home. Shindig’s Sean Ryan and Bethany Scalise certainly know how to throw a party – if a graduation, anniversary or any special occasion is in your future give them a call and they’ll help you throw the Shindig of the summer!

Our friends at the Green Alliance are also working hard on our behalf. Their great article about Jewett Farms + Co’s presence in Newburyport was recently published on the Seacoast Online Blogs. The Green Alliance is a Portsmouth based company that supports sustainable local businesses, we are excited to help them spread the green word beyond the Seacoast.
