Jewett Farms Workshop – New Goodies for the Holidays!

5 Min.

Forget Cyber Monday, ignore the big box stores all fighting for your attention. Bring the Holidays back home by shopping local and supporting craftsmen. And just to sweeten the deal, we have some beautiful new products in the JF Workshop.

Over the last year we have designed and built a number of pieces using reclaimed antique woods, the off cuts from said projects have been re-purposed into gorgeous frames for mirrors. These are unique, one of a kind items and we have very limited quantities – get in quick if you’re interested! From Island to Mirror – Antique Oak gets another new life.

We have stylish cheese boards, in two sizes, that make great gifts (I know this from personal experience!). They are built to showcase the natural beauty of the wood grain and the contrast between each species.

We also have a limited number of solid wood serving trays. The trays are sturdy, yet light and have been hand made using the  JF + Co. signature box joint. The perfect way to serve hot cocoa, cookies for Santa or holiday cocktails!

While we truly love our products, we’re also proud of what happens when you buy them. Our Off Cuts Initiative not only makes our shop more efficient with its resources, it also gives back to our community. 50% of profits from The JF Workshop are donated to Team Trevor, the most hard working grass roots charity group in the Seacoast! Since 1999 Team Trevor has raised over $1 million 100% of which has been donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

The remaining 50% stays in house and is specifically earmarked for environmental initiatives within our business. We are leaders in sustainability within our industry with our use of water borne finishes and formaldehyde free veneer core materials. Each step forward our business takes is informed by best environmental practices, it’s simply a part of who we are. We are working towards the purchase of a briquette press, to turn our saw dust into renewable bio-fuel. We’re not there yet, but with every JF Workshop purchase we get a little closer.

Give the gift of beauty, sustainability and hope this holiday season.
