Boston Magazine's 2014 Designer Home will have a Jewett Farms + Co. Kitchen
3 Min.We are very excited to partner with Boston Magazine and the Treat family to be a part of the 10th annual Boston Magazine Design Home.
This years design home is unique, the Salisbury NH residence will be a net zero home. Using a combination of solar energy, smart appliances, building energy monitoring and air source heat pumps. Along with water saving fixtures, smart use of insulation and air sealing will make the finished home both cost and energy efficient.
Jewett Farms + Co. are excited to be a part of this great project. We will be contributing to the home’s sustainability with our own environmental initiatives, the locally built, hand crafted cabinetry will be finished with water based products and our Offcuts Initiative re-purposes much of what would traditionally be waste.
The Newburyport Current recently ran a story on the project, check it out for more information on the house and it’s contributors. Once completed the house will be open to visitors for a short period of time, with 100% of proceeds from tour ticket sales going to the Boston Children’s Hospital.
