Craftsmanship in Process
6 Min.A Jewett Farms + Co. kitchen is built from the ground up. We source the wood, mill it down and build each cabinet, door and drawer for every project we do. So when our designers include creative custom details; curves, coves and scribes – we build those too!
It takes some time, and some clamping but we truly believe that keeping this craftsmanship in-house is one of the things that makes JF special. Our cabinetmakers must be skilled craftsmen across the board, because who knows what wild and interesting design could be coming their way next?
Here are a few of our more unique carpentry conquests.
From Eifel Tower (as it was affectionately known in the shop) to the metal clad range hood seen in this JF Story.
A Fully curved cabinet being built – even the drawers were curved. See the whole piece here.
Walnut silverware dividers – this one in place with a custom sliding cutting board.
These lovely cutting boards are designed to slide right into the island – full integration. Check out the whole project on Houzz.
The JF conference room table in it’s phases of construction.
When beautiful materials and true craftsmanship meet inspired design the results are undeniably lovely. The challenge of bringing a moment of inspiration from idea to reality is what fuels us to continue creating. Got a creative quandry? Let us at it!
