We have some wonderful local craftspeople joining us, some you may remember from last year, plus new folks joining in. Here’s a quick introduction to our makers, You can meet them in person at our Boston Design Center showroom on October 4th from 12-3:30 pm.

Nowadays Flowers
Nowadays Flowers is a micro flower farm on unceded Abenaki, Pennacook, and Wabanaki Confederacy land, just miles from the Atlantic coast in Zone 5. Flower farmers Bridget and Robbie have grown their farm from a sprout of an idea to a blossoming reality. They skip on stuff like toxic pesticides and chemical fertilizers or sprays so you can feel great about the blooms you’re bringing into your home while doing some good for the planet. Look for their vintage flower truck outside the BDC during Fall Market.
Nowadays Flowers is also running a Floral Arranging Workshop in the JF showroom on day one of Fall Market, registration required. Learn more here.

Amuck Broom Co.
A return to slow-made products. Amuck Broom Co. was born in 2021 out of founder Kristen’s need to slow down, log off, and reconnect with her own two hands. Amuck brooms are made using simple hand tools and a bit of elbow grease and imagination. Each broom is unique and special. When you find the one that is meant for you, you’ll feel a connection to it. Don’t be fooled, the broom chooses you, not the other way around. Broomcorn (Sorghum vulgare) is grown for its bristle-like hurl which is especially good for trapping and sweeping dirt and dust. Amuck brooms are made to be used and when treated with love, should last for many many years
Amuck Broom Co. is also running a Broom Making Workshop during the Makers Market, registration required. Learn more here.

Debbe Daley Designs

From hand-poured candles, textiles, paint, and even books. “I loved working with my hands as a kid. Sewing with my grandmother and mother, trying my hand at refinishing an old oak nightstand from my grandfather, who was a true picker at heart”. Debbe Daley.

Tor’s Ahht
Tor Voner is from the Boston area and started painting and creating at an early age. In her work, she expresses her love of the mountains in Vermont and the oceans of the east coast. Over the past 7 years, Tory has tunneled her focus into her love of painting by seeking where her passions lie… Escaping the chaos of the world around her, she has come full circle by returning back to nature. Using the values of Impressionism’s perspective, colors, and textures are all of the tools she utilizes, challenging herself emotionally in a different way with each and every painting. Acrylic is her medium of choice, and the larger the canvases she selects, the more expression of space she has to utilize and share.
