Albion St.

Albion St.

Overview

Bright, fresh, and welcoming. It can take courage to step away from the ubiquitous white kitchen, and make the leap into color. But it is always worth it. The homeowners of this charming cottage broke free from standard convention and with the help of JF designer Paula, found the perfect green hue to brighten and personalize this sweet kitchen.

Attention to detail

In a smaller kitchen, the details have more weight. A design element that may be overlooked in a larger space is more obvious in a smaller one. So every detail requires careful thought and planning. Many of the design features in this kitchen were painstakingly sourced by the homeowners at estate sales, antique stores, and on their extensive travels. The result is an eclectic mix of beautiful pieces that look perfectly at home in the handcrafted cabinetry. The kitchen design was equally detailed, including elements of brass and fluted glass to the traditionally built cabinets.

Charming, quaint, and perfectly formed

This kitchen proves that bigger is not necessarily better. The space is well organized, with ample storage and areas for entertaining as well as preparing food. The vibrant personalities of the homeowners shine through in this kitchen that perfectly fits their needs.
