Overview
This homeowner came to Jewett farms + Co. truly ready for her dream kitchen. She did her homework prior to reaching out to us and brought with her every inspiration and idea she had. She wanted a English inspired kitchen. Being from Europe, she had a stronger connection to the style she was envisioning. She thought about every detail of the kitchen and was deeply involved in the design process.
An English Country Kitchen. In New England.
This kitchen design incorporated many unique details such as straight baseboard and beautifully made slat drawers for vegetables and bread. Wood species was important, so the majority of the drawers and inserts were walnut with exposed oak details in a light oil finish, like the integrated cutting boards, floating shelves and wood slats in the island. Additional details like tooth saw brackets to hold the painted shelves and a hand brushed finish showcase the craftsmanship and furniture like nature of the cabinets.
Luxurious finishes
The hardware and finishes for faucets and sink were also well thought out. We took time in picking unique and luxurious finishes. The main sink is copper and the finishes for the faucets are also different. This is a great example of how different finishes can complement one another.

- Cabinetry: Traditional single face frame, inset cabinetry with a hand painted finish.
- Countertops + Backsplash: Italian Marble sourced by the home owner
- Floating Shelves + Integrated Cutting Boards: Rift White Oak finished with waterborne clear urethane.
- Interior drawers + saw tooth shelf brackets: Solid walnut finished with a clear water borne urethane
- Sinks: Hand carved marble bar sink. Copper kitchen sink.
